IMO, the most important attribute of a tent is being water and windproof. This tent passes on that account (see video). I used it as a spacious 1 person tent. You'd better be close to the person if you two of you are sharing. Loved large vestibule and dual entry. Hated the stuff sack (ripped after about a dozen uses)

I used this tent on a 90 mile hike in the Sierra, where I experienced windy conditions and bad weather. The tent held up well at 30 mph wind gusts, BUT the tent bathtub is so short that dirt and gravel go through the mesh even though the rainfly closed shut. Expect to find dirt, soil, and gravel on your sleeping pad/bag and all over your tent floor. Furthermore, during a four hour thunderstorm, the bathtub didn’t hold up to the rain. Water got inside on all the tent corners despite the rain fly properly pitched and staked. Lastly, the tent stakes are very flimsy, and doesn’t compare to the durability of the MSR mini groundhog stakes. I will be returning this tent.

10,000+ miles and just starting to wear

I have the bikepacking version of this tent (same tent but with short stix poles). I bikepacked the Great Divide, backpacked over 1,000 miles, and most recently brought it on a kayak expedition of 20 days. I'm meticulous about keeping it clean and applying new waterproofing seasonally, and it's held up beautifully in rain, dense fog, extreme wind, etc. For reference, I'm 5' 0" tall and the 2P is a perfect amount of space for me and essential gear. Love the internal places to store things and let them hang dry, even if it's raining outside. Lately I've needed to use all guy lines to keep its shape... will upgrade with a replacement soon. Thanks for 3.5 years and thousands of miles!

Lunch Counter or bust!!

Hey ya'll. I will rate this tent as a 5 Star. My oldest son and I planned to summit Mt. Adams last week. I borrowed this new tent from my father-in-law. I set it up for the first time in my living room under perfect conditions. It went up easy and it stable. Once we reached the Lunch Counter the wind was epic with gusts reaching 30 mph! We set this up and forgot to use a footprint! we staked it out and have to use the guy lines to keep it from blowing away. We insulated the bottom outside of the flys and tent with snow banks. We stayed toasty all night in zero degree bags as the temps were around that as well. I even cooked in the vestibule on my side and vented out the top with the zipper open. This tent is light, easily packable and performs great. I will mention this is a two person tent, not a two 'Man' tent. Having mentioned that, we have plenty of room for heavy boots at our feet and kept our bags out of the weather in the vestibules on each side. This is not a 4 season tent, but with smart placement of your camp site, environmental assist this will work in many places it wasn't designed for. I'm going to buy my own and use it on the rest of my backpacking trips all summer.

Crazy-Light tent

Easy to set up N take down, super light, kept the rain out and I live in a rainforest. Wasn’t satisfied with the zippers. Zippers often snag up w/ fabric. Only annoying IF you gotta get out quick at night “When nature calls.”

For the money, it’s pretty ok.

TLDR/ it’s a great tent, especially if weight is your main concern. It’s hard to say anything about this tent that hasn’t already been said. It’s semi-free standing and I found that to get a proper pitch on the rain fly, you have to use two addition stakes at the foot end of the tent. Instead of being able to connect the rain fly to the stakes that hold up the floor/tent. For some reason that really bothers me but it functions flawlessly once pitched. The zippers are a letdown and almost always require two hands no matter if you’re opening or closing. The expensive ground sheet, as convenient as it may be, is something I can’t justify buying at its current cost. I use a sheet of polycryo cut to fit and it works perfectly. The tent does not perform well in almost any amount of snow (it’s not made for that, to be fair). This tent was a splurge for me so I do not have another lightweight tent that would be more appropriate in the winter. One last con - the condensation in this tent if borderline unacceptable. A simple rooftop vent would’ve probably solved this problem. I love how compact the tent is and how quickly it pitches after some practice. It is extremely light but very spacious with a huge pocket in the ceiling I use for clothes.

Excellent! Sturdy, withstood both rain and wind

I purchased my UL2 Tigerwall this spring. So far its been to Escalante for backpacking, a week of camping in Maine with my dog, a week camping by Lake Superior, as well as camping in Wisconsin. It was perfect through one of the worst storms I've been through, with 8 solid hours of hard, pouring rain and 20-30 mph winds without using guide lines. The interior stayed bone dry as did my equipment. It's gone through 3 other rainy nights since then with flying colors. I was very pleased as I hate getting wet or cold in a tent. All the zippers have worked fine without catching and the netting has been excellent at keeping out no-see-ums and mosquitoes. It's exceeded my expectations!

Super light and compact but..

but, as other reviews suggest, the rainfly does not zip up and out of the way very well at all. It is the thing that keeps this tent from 5 stars. For the price, it's very light and once I got the hang of more carefully staking out the rain fly, it kept me dry in some pretty big Michigan thunderstorms. I used this product as a one person + stuff for 5 days at Isle Royale National Park and it was a great tent. I'm 6'4" and I fit fine both length and height. I imagine if it was being used as a two person, length may be an issue for tall people. It's a typical size for a two person tent, meaning that it'd be fine for two, but you better like being close to your companion. The vestibule space is nice, and exits on both sides is handy to have too. Setup is very easy for one person, just takes a bit of practice to get the staking right to maximize space.

Even the best tents have room for improvement

This tent got me through a pretty wet thru hike in Vermont, and for that, I'll always love this tent. It goes up quickly, it's super light for a 2p semi-freestanding tent, and though it's pretty no-nonsense, the oversized overhead pocket might be my favorite feature on any tent I've ever owned - fantastic for letting last night's clothes air out. For all the times I've pitched this tent in the rain, I probably have a 75% success rate at staying dry the next morning - maybe I have some room to improve in my pitch, but it's not the most forgiving tent either. The door zippers on the tent body meet somewhat awkwardly in a corner, making closing each zipper from the inside always a two-hand job. It's also hard to close the rainfly zipper from inside as the bottom is so far away from you, and I'm nervous about the zippers on the rainfly maybe being one of the first points of failure, as they're small and can get grimy, though they've held up so far. One of my favorite features of this tent is that, when you couple it with the Big Agnes footprint, you can pitch the rainfly first and THEN pitch the tent body underneath it, so that you can keep your tent body dry even when it's raining. All in all, a fantastic no-nonsense backpacker's tent that's one of the best semi-freestanding options out there!

BA Tiger Wall UL2- Home Run

Another great tent from BA! A super light 2P tent at 2lbs 3oz, although it's tight quarters for 2 persons, but a great tent for 1 person with lots of room to spread out, which is highly appreciated on thru-hikes. Never know when you'll be sequestered for an extended period during a Sierra storm! It has very good head clearance, lots of pockets for your gear, easy access with dual doors and vestibules. Only two things to remind you about this tent: 1) be gentle with it since material is light and can damage easily, and 2) since it's semi-free standing, best to ensure you can properly stake out this tent. Otherwise, I love this tent
