Light Hiker Micro Crew Light Cushion Sock

The Darn Tough Light Hiker Micro Crew Light Cushion Sock protects your foot from the harsh environment of your burly boot while keeping it cool and comfortable. A blend of merino wool and synthetic materials pull perspiration away from you, and the knit naturally resists the buildup of odors—which you'll appreciate on multi-day trips. The Micro Crew height hits just high enough on your ankle to protect your skin from the tongue of your boot, and the True Seamless design sits smoothly against your toes to minimize chafing.

At the top of my list

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

My hiking sock drawer is overflowing with quality, merino-blend socks since I hike at least 100 miles most months of the year. Of all the great socks I own, however, the Darn Tough Light Hiker Micro Crew Light Cushion Sock is my favorite. It's the pair I pick on the rare day when all my hiking socks are clean. It's my first choice when the weather's warm, when I'm hiking fast, when I'm going on a trip, and when I want to maximize the breathability of my hiking boots and shoes. I may give the Darn Tough Hiker Boot Cushion Sock the edge in really cold weather, but the Light Hiker Micro Crew Light is otherwise my go-to hiking sock in the DT line up.

WORTH THE MONEY!!

Familiarity:
I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

If you haven't made the jump to quality socks DO IT! Especially if you spend quality time in the outdoors. It makes all the world in the difference, your feet breathe more, fewer blisters, and the socks last so much longer! Gave this to all the men in life as gifts! It's one of those things you don't buy for yourself but you need!

Great socks

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I put these to the test , but Because I can?t go on a long hike anytime soon I put these on when I had to work 3 days back to back all day on my feet without showering, yes you heard me right , my feet get really sweaty and with that comes smell, so I needed to see if these were gonna old up in the backcountry with no shower and still keep my feet dry with very minimal smell and be comfortable, and these did just that , that last day I took them off and my feet were dry ,and did not smell at all! They also were very comfortable. I might just start buying more just to wear for my normal day to day. But I was so glad my test was done all I wanted to do was shower after that lol

I bought these socks for backpacking. They are not as thick as a typical hiking sock so they may not have the cushioning you expect. They are extremely comfortable. I never had any problem with them during a recent 4 day backpacking trip to the Smoky Mountains. I do wear a liner with them though.
