didn't work for my feet
I have a pair of Injinji liners and wanted a thicker version to wear like a regular sock. These felt comfortable in the store, less abrasive than the running sock, but after hiking in them, the ribs of the sock fabric were rubbing on the ball of my left foot. And the thicker fabric between my toes turned out to be more annoying than I had hoped. After a few hours wearing them, I realized these were not going to be socks that I would reach for. But if they don't bother your toes or feet, these may be perfectly fine for you. It's pretty subjective.
Best sock ever!! HIGHLY recommend these socks!
I’m a very VERY picky person when it comes to my feet being I have mild neuropathy, so I need to be careful of what I wear. My feet would tire out and rub raw in so many socks, that I got frustrated after a while until my friend did some research and found these socks. They reduce the rubbing and friction between my feet and my shoes so much, I own numerous of these socks and enjoy wearing them hiking and in running shoes. Cannot day enough good stuff about them.
Poor quality and overpriced
I bought a few of these from REI a couple of years ago and while they did not last, they were the only game in town. Now with the advent of so many other manufacturers, these are just overpriced. Just do a search on Amazon and you will find several brands like Vwell that sell you 4 of these as a package for the same price. The socks for Injinji and these other manufacturers are sourced from the same factories in Asia. Injinji had a good run due to first mover's advantage. However, I would strongly advise to do your due diligence before buying these as there are much better (and cost effective) options available. Not recommended anymore.
one complaint
Obsessed with these socks. Wore almost every variation of injinji’s on my pct thru hike, but mostly stuck with these. The one thing that sucks about injinji’s is that they wear out SO fast. I would have holes in the big toes within a week or 2 at the latest. And that was with alternating between 3 pairs. I learned to just live with the holes haha. It would be nice if they had an exchange like Darn Tough, or just made more durable socks. While it was probably a waste of money to keep buying these, I loved them so much I kept doing it lol. Might be more worthwhile to wear only the liners since they are cheaper and get the job done. (if thru-hiking)
No blisters, no holes
I'll admit, I was skeptical of these socks at first. I was nervous they would wear holes quickly, and I was scared my feet wouldn't like the feel of them. Wrong on both accounts! I've worn my pair for about 100 miles so far with Altra Lone Peak trail runners and they are just like new, and I've never gotten a blister when wearing them! And another pro: my feet never feel damp after a long day on the trail with these on. They wick moisture well, and always dry out overnight if they do get wet! Will be buying many more pairs for my upcoming PCT thru-hike.
Great for hiking!
I’ve had multiple ankle surgeries and want a little support when I hike. I bought these to use with my trail runners to hike the PCT and I love them. They don’t add a ton of bulk, are super comfy, and easy to put on. I went through a few pairs of these on my hike but lasted for as long as I would expect (longer than my Injinji socks). I highly recommend. I am purchasing a couple pairs right now so I know I will have them for future adventures. I wear a women’s size 8.5 shoe (9 for trail shoes) and I wear the size Medium.
Failed after 30 miles
I purchased these socks in early April and after a couple runs my big toes on both feet wore through. These were used in Altra shoes with very large/wide toe boxes. The socks are the correct size for my feet and there was no friction inside the shoe. Haven't had this type of early failure with other sock brands.
HAPPY FEET!
All I want to say is these socks and proper sized boots kept me blister free and in comfort over the course of 15 days of straight hiking 11 to 16 miles a day. The Injinji breathed well, dried overnight when washed and kept on going. Totally comfortable all day! When these wear out, I’ll be buying more!!
Best piece of PCT hiking equipment.
Trained for and hiked the PCT with Six pair of injinji mid weight trail socks. By the end of over 4,000 miles(yes that's right!). I still had two pair with no holes. Got a total of two small, inconsequential blisters and I was always very prone before I discovered these socks. Cannot say enough.
My Go-To Ultra Trail Marathon Socks
I own three pairs of these bad boys and rotate them for my trail running and trail races. I have NOT faced any of the wear issues one of the other customers showed. I have worn them for races up to 50 miles with NO issues. I have put hundreds upon hundreds of miles on each pair with very little signs of wear. They also helped alleviate my issues with Morton's neuroma.
