Description

The Vortex SPARC SOLAR delivers one of the longest lasting red dots available, offering users up to 150,000 hours of battery life. It achieves this with Auto D-TEC technology and an integrated solar panel/backup CR2032 battery power source. The Auto D-TEC automatically switches between solar-power and the backup battery based on the ambient light conditions, and features 12 illumination settings, two of which are night vision compatible. Because it has such a long battery life, the SPARC SOLAR has a 14-hour automatic shutoff, allowing users to keep the sight active for as long as they need without having to worry about power levels, and an motion activation feature means the red dot will always remain at the ready.

This is a really underrated optic. It doesn’t have as many YouTube reviews as comparable holosuns. It’s price point it a big higher compared to comparable red dots, but with the vortex warranty, I think it fully makes up for it. The mount isn’t the best, but it’s the aimpoint T1/t2 mounting style so that’s easily replaced. Glass is clear, dot is crisp, and the controls are solid including the “shake awake function”. So in closing only downfalls, mount, and price. 8/10 would recommend.

Great little optic! Optic was installed on a S&W M&P 15-22 as a trainer. This optic was perfect for this setup. Bright clear optic with amazing battery life. This optic is being used for close in training and the 1 MOA click adjustments are not a big concern at these short ranges. Nice that it comes with two mounts and all the tools necessary to install. Vortex also has a great warranty if ever needed.

Fantastic red dot optic. Plenty of brightness settings, very simple yet useful controls. Comes with 2 mount heights to choose from. I was blown away by the shipping time, when they say 1 day they mean it. Within about 15 hours of placing my order it was at the front door.
