Great knife for climbing (& camping, hiking, etc)
Climbing: very lightweight knife that will work with any carabiner from the biggest BD or Petzl to a Metolius Mini II. The serrated section will cut through any cord in any situation, and you'll forget you have it on your rack. General use: great for backpacking/hiking, as it’s very easy to clean and stow, and to clip to existing pack straps. It’s also not so expensive that you’re overly precious with it. If I were to have one knife in the outdoors, this would be it. Disclaimer: I have no financial relationship with Petzl.
Great climbing utility knife
This is a great climbing utility knife. It is optimized for climbing use, where you are carrying it by attaching to a carabiner. While you might be able to find smaller more compact climbing knives that are suitable for warm weather rock climbing, this is the best option for warm and cold weather use. It is big enough to use with gloves on and the plastic handle has a much lower thermal conductivity than slimmer knives with metal handles. While you can use it as a general utility pocket knife or a lightweight backpacking knife, there are probably better options for that. For many years this was my only knife. I used it for opening packages, cardboard cutting, etc. However, recently, I have decided to buy other knives for non-climbing tasks and just use this knife for climbing.

Great for backpacking to open food pouches or cut up snacks. Super lightweight and super well made. Recommend highly and I've had for over two years, and love it!

Details state a max blade length of 4”…. It’s 3” at max. Still appears to be a good light weight hiking or climbing knife
Inappropriate for climbing.
This knife does not lock close. That's fine if you keep it in your pocket but it is dangerous to have hanging on your harness.

Great All-Around Knife

Lightweight and Handy
Light weight with good length of serration on blade. Takes some practice to open with one hand. Overall nice knife and the price was right!!
Light and crazy sharp.
This knife is awesome. It's meant for mountain climbers and hikers but I use it for work and anything that needs cutting! I just wish the handle was made of something else since its plastic it feels really light but it also like it might give after continuous use.
Simple Climbing Knife
Nice lightweight, sharp knife. Not the easiest to open the first few times but once you get the hang of it opening it with one hand isn't bad and two hands is easy. Doesn't feel like it would randomly spring open but haven't had a situation where it would yet.
