This rifle is fantastic. The fit and finish is well above its price point. I took it to the range with a 1-6 LPVO and tested 6 different Match grade ammo types including AAC, Black Hills, S&B, Federal, etc. The absolute best performance came from the Federal Premium 308 win Gold Medal Berger 185 grain OTM. Second best was S&B 308 win 168 grain HPBT. The first two have barely noticeable differences but the federal did group a little better. Honorable mention for AAC 168 grain sierra. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that ammo. They all did well but the rifle clearly liked Federal and S&B the most.
I had no failures of any kind, and the accuracy was outstanding.
I did change out the pistol grip to my preference and plan to throw on a b5 precision stock and some weights on the rail. The rifle is not terribly heavy so its not bad to transport or shoot standing but that does mean it jumps at the front quite a bit. To stay on target I found myself holding the barrel down. I think with an upgraded trigger, a better bipod, solid optic, and weighing the front end down, this rifle will be absolutely perfect.
The only thing I would say is PSA needs to dial it down with bathing their guns in oil. There was so much oil in and on the rifle that the US gov wanted to invade it and give it freedom. I had to clean the rifle and remove the excessive oil coming out of every crevice including the trigger. The first rifle I bough from PSA that came in a plastic bag was the same deal, the outside was COATED in oil because you guys put so much in it. Its gross. Please stop.
If you're on the fence, just pull the trigger. It's a great rifle and you'll be happy with it.

And exact same hole groups at 100 yards. I closed the gas block about 6 clicks from wide open. It’s built solid, has zero rattle or play anywhere. Very nice gun, especially for the price. I’m a lefty so it being ambitious is just the cherry on top.

I'm digging it. I've not bought a PSA rifle before, despite guiding other into purchasing Sabre models for budget restrictions. When I saw the 10A1 it was hard to resist, a sucker for the aesthetics, I guess. Anyhow, I did some thorough research on the rifle regarding my application and what I would use it for. Honestly it was checking all the boxes. Plus, the video reviews showing its reliability and MOA's from sub 1. 0 - 1. 5, I couldn't complain about a 16". I picked it up immediately when I received the restock email back in October, and it sold out in 4 days. I've been in the process of D. O. P. E. data for the last two weeks, establishing a 50/200 yds zero. As perimeter defense (I have land), and stationary hunting platform, she'll get it done because that . 308 slaps. With this exact rifle, I'm noticing she's preferring higher quality ammo, didn't have any luck with Norma Whitetail 147 gr and other Igman and Winchester cartridges. I still have a couple more with Nosler loads to D. O. P. E. Federal Fusion 150 gr had nice groupings (keyholing), and fortunately (glass half full) my chosen hunting cartridge Defiant Munitions 168 gr, TCX had phenomenal groupings, the caveat is the $2. 75/round. The only cons I have about the platform is 1. it's weight, unless you're an absolute unit, you're not wanting to carry this as I believe it's 9 lbs off-rip. 2. I had some gassing and buffer issues which were solved by trading out the stock H1 buffer that comes with it for an H2, I also had to make the gas-block wide-open. Now she cycles flawlessly. Planning to swap out the bolt for a cryptic coatings BCG to see if it quiets the metal grabbing noises. I jumped immediately from 50 yds after DOPE's and went to 300 yds and smack 6" steels on replay. Conclusion: Get it, stop thinking about and get it. She's absolutely beautiful to look at, and a blast to shoot. Can be annoying if you're at the range and people keep coming up to you to ask questions, but to each their own.

Weapon arrived in immaculate conditions, very fast shipping and nice box. I like the combinations of colors, very nice looking weapon. I went ahead and installed the Vortex Stoke Eagle 1x8x24 and it matched very nicely. The buffer spring and the dry bolt were making lots of noice due to lack of lub. I went ahead and put some Mobil 28 grease on the buffer springs and rack it back and forth numerous time and also used extreme force on the bolt, problem solved. Very light and sexy looking weapon, I still have to go to the range and zero the scope. I am very happy with my purchase, very well put together.
