  • System consists of 2 down-filled bags that can be used together or separately, depending on your sleep style and temperature preference
  • Maximum warmth is achieved when the inner and outer bags are layered, using offset quilting to minimize cold spots—this combined configuration has a tested lower limit of 15°F
  • Using the inner bag alone provides warmth down to about 35°F; the outer bag alone provides warmth down to about 50°F
  • Ultralight, durable materials with 850-fill-power Downtekâ„¢ water-repellent down keep weight to a minimum without sacrificing comfort
  • Water-repellent finish is PFC free
  • Sleep on either side using the inner bag alone or within the outer bag; 3/4-length, anti-snag ambidextrous zipper stays out of the way when side sleeping
  • Inner bag design mimics the award-winning Sidewinder sleeping bag, designed for side sleepers and made to move with you from side to side
  • Keep your head snug and warm using the inner bag with jacket-style hood
  • Spacious, rectangular-shaped outer bag is constructed with a no-draft collar, no-draft wedge and a single no-draft, antisnag left-side zipper with zipper garage

  • Hand-tuck pockets at the top of the outer bag provide additional hand warmth

Temperature ratings are intended as a guideline to help you compare products, rather than a guarantee of warmth, since many different factors contribute to your comfort while you sleep. Backpacking bags are typically rated for temperature according to an independent testing protocol—currently International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 23537, though some older items followed European Norm (EN) 13537. Testing is based on a person wearing one base layer and a pair of socks, sleeping on an insulated surface with a minimum R-value of 5.38.

Each bag then gets 2 ratings: the Comfort rating is the lowest temperature at which the bag will keep the average "cold sleeper" comfortable, and the Lower Limit rating is the lowest temperature at which the bag will keep the average "warm sleeper" comfortable. Some brands determine their own temperature rating by aligning to the Comfort rating for women’s bags, to the Lower Limit rating for men’s bags, or somewhere in the middle for nongendered bags.

I am immediately returning. Totally untrustworthy.

This was just delivered. I will immediately return because the outer quilt is HORRIBLY filled. The down is bunched in almost every baffle leaving massive spaces in the bag with absolutely no insulation. It is unacceptable for a sleep system at this price to be this poorly made. I shouldn't have to waste time trying to rearrange the fill just to make an item do its job. I could never trust this bag in the field.

Read before buying!

Used on a 3 day 2 night trip. I loved the idea behind this product. Both nights it dipped into the low 30s I stayed warm and could regulate the temp by opening up the quilt part of the system, which kept me from overheating. Overall a comfortable sleep system. The reason I gave it 2 stars is because of the zipper on the mummy bag. It catches and hangs on the fabric from the outer shell and on its own fabric. It also doesn’t unzip freely even when it doesn’t have the fabric caught in it. To unzip you have to hold everything just right. I expected a better quality product from Big Agnes, especially since it cost almost $600.
