Why We Like The Ferrosi Legging
We were tired of leggings not holding up to the wear and tear we put them through, until we tried the Outdoor Research Ferrosi Legging. We really like the Cordura inserts on these leggings that add durability while we climb, scramble, and hike.

My uniform on the Camino Frances
Wore these on the Camino Frances and loved them. Lightweight and flash dry, they held up to 16.7miles a day and lots of hand washing. Great leg pocket for my phone and draw string at waste was helpful as I lost weight. 10/10 would recommend.

The size is just a tiny bit off
Compared to my other hiking pants they felt a little snugged. It was not uncomfortable but would definitely have liked a little more wiggle room. The seam came undone from the back after several uses.

Just the perfit fit
I just love the fabric and the fit. They are super comfortable, snug but not too tight. I like the pockets, and the cut. Cannot think of something bad about them right now.

These Are Comfortable But Hot.
These leggings are very nice and comfortable. I had full range of motion but there is one issue.... very hot to wear in the summer. I would prefer to wear these in the fall or winter. I wore the leggings on a moderate day, high in the 60's and I still felt very hot. I wore these on a much colder day (40 degrees) and had no issues. Still a great product and I think they are good but if you run hot, I would not wear these in full sun or summer. Great pocket room, had a nice large pocket for my Iphone 8 plus and very flattering.

Perfect except......
Great pants for hiking. love the Ferrosi collection. However pulling the pants over the hips is quite a chore, almost to the point they will rip out. Once they're in place the fit is good. For reference I'm 5'1" 106 lbs. Hips are 34. It shouldn't be this hard to pull them up. Size medium would be too large otherwise. Maybe the new version has addressed this issue.

Great fabric. They work best as slim pants, so size up!
My go-to hiking pants are some out-of-production leggings from a competitor, but they're too heavy for warm SoCal hikes. Enter these. The fabric feels fantastic-sort of crisp, like a cotton dress shirt, but stretchy, and not shiny or plasticky. The pockets are nice, although they could be deeper and there's wasted space on the waistband, which could accommodate more or bigger pockets. The length is slightly on the short side; I'm not quite 5'7" and these hit the tops of my ankles. Per others' comments, these run narrow in the hips, which can require some spirited dancing to get them on. Personally I prefer a looser fit (think slim pants, not leggings), plus I didn't relish having to maneuver these on inside a backpacking tent or squatting behind a tree and risking ripping a seam-so I sized up from small to medium. (I'm generally a size 4, or 27 waist in pants.) Also, the crotch gusset is quite small and a little awkwardly placed, so I found that these, uh, showed off my anatomy less when I sized up. A wider crotch gusset that starts higher up in the front (so the center seam can't work its way up) would fix that issue. If you can find the right fit, these are great! Both the small and the medium were comfortable and generally flattering once on, and the flat, soft waistband, sans heavy seams or buttons, will be great for backpacking.

They're ok, a little tight fitting. Pockets are not large enough for phone. Overall would be better for casual wear or use and not hiking or outdoors activities.

Comfort and Utility
Highly recommend these - they're equally comfortable as they are practical in outdoor settings. Ive only worn them in winter conditions and they have been great at cutting the wind. Anxious to see how they perform in the heat while outfitting groups this summer.
