HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT HELMET FOR YOU
SKI HELMET FEATURES
Staying Warm & Keeping Cool
We've integrated our patented VNT venting system into each of our helmets. The VNT feature allows you to open, close, or partially open your helmet vents. This allows you to control when cool air is flowing into your helmet or not. Skiing or snowboarding can be hard work. Even on a cold day it's easy to work up a sweat. Having the ability to increase or decrease airflow to your head will help you regulate your body temp. All our helmets have the VNT system integrated.
MIPS EXPLAINED
MIPS is a patented safety system that helps protect against rotational force impacts. MIPS is a small additional liner inside the helmet that allows the helmet to slide, reducing trauma to the brain. This protection helps with oblique or angled collisions. If you want a little extra piece of mind we now offer MIPS with our Highline product line. Knowing you have extra protection allows you to focus on what you do best: charging lines and carving up powder.
FINE-TUNED ADJUSTMENTS
The FTA system on the Drift and Highline helmets is a dial that allows you to tighten or loosen the helmet to fit just right. Turning the dial will adjust the sizing cage on the interior of the helmet. Wear a beanie under your helmet? No problem. Easily loosen it up to make room.
PREMIUM LINERS
With plush, premium liners your head will thank you. All our helmets are equipped with high grade liners. The Highline takes it up a notch further with XStatic which includes XT2 anti-odor technology. It's easy to sweat when you are working for powder. That's why we didn't skimp on our liners.

Q:
Do you need a special helmet for skiing?
A:
You absolutely need a helmet designated for skiing. Other helmets may lack protection needed for the sides and back of the head. Additionally, ski and snow helmets are specially designed to protect you from the cold weather and snow with fewer air vents than bicycle or other types of helmets.
-
Q:
What is a MIPS helmet?
A:
Multi-directional Impact Protection or MIPS is considered the worldβs leading protection against rotational impact. A MIPS ski or snow helmet features a low-friction layer inside the helmet that allows a multi-directional movement of 10-15mm on certain angled impacts, intended to help reduce rotational force to the head.
-
Q:
How do I choose the right ski helmet size?
A:
Every brand differs a little in how sizing is designed and communicated. Be sure to check the sizing chart and take the time to measure the indicated point on your head. A correctly-fitted helmet is essential in maximizing the protection you receive in a fall. The helmet should fit snugly and remain in place as you move your head about.

Q:
What certifications does a snow helmet need to have?
A:
Safety standards vary from country to country. Some common ones include the ASTM F2040 snow helmet certification in the U.S., and CE EN1077 in Europe.
