This tool quickly and effectively cleans the star chamber and locking lug area in just a few twists. It features a parkerized steel scraper to remove fouling build-up and felt cleaning pads to pick up the fouling loosened by the scraper.
The coated brass nose piece centers the tool in the chamber for proper cleaning, while ensuring it won't scratch or damage the firearm.
With 8-32 threads, a chamber brush or other scraper components can be attached to this tool for added cleaning.

Star chamber cleaning tool
This tool makes cleaning the chamber area much easier on my ARs chambered in .223/5.56 & .308 but doesn't help at all with .300 blackout. It's still an indispensable tool but a .300 blackout option would be great.
Clever design - wished the rod part was made of something more durable
Design itself is very clever: this tool fits almost perfectly into the star chamber of an AR15 to scrape out carbon buildup and scrub it clean afterwards with the specially-fitted pads. My only complaint is that the extendable rod is made of plastic that has a bit of flex to it, so I was afraid while using it that it might break, especially when I was using it with the metal bit to scrape off carbon buildup from the chamber. Despite the flaw, I'd still recommend this tool as it does a better job than the star brushes I've used in the past.
