Sometimes things are just made because they can be made. Add to that list the world's first .30 caliber break-barrel, part of the Carnivore series, the new caliber added to Hatsan?s premier break barrel Model 135. The Mod 135?s include everything that makes Hatsan break barrel?s special, including their Vortex gas piston, Turkish Walnut stock with adjustable Monte Carlo comb, fiber optic open sights, their highly regarded QuietEnergy barrels, and their equally acclaimed Quattro Trigger.

A handsome gun no matter what caliber you prefer, though I dare you to resist owning the world's first big bore break barrel. We were able to obtain 30 ft lbs of energy using the .30 caliber beast. And you shouldn?t have to worry about it chewing up scopes as long as you have a decent air gun rated scope on top. We were surprised that the double recoil was much less than other high power magnum power break barrels!

Cons
After about 10 rounds the gun stopped cocking and went off by itself also noticed a crack in the stock The company replaced it completely with a new gun. I havent tried the new one yet.

at 25 yards i could not get a grouping under 2.5 inches with more than 1/3 of the pellets getting flyaway. i think due to the loose fitting of the breech. had a break barrel when i was a kid. the rifle was over 20 years old. love that rifle. but this one being brand new and poorly assembled made me hate the 30 cal and was so disappointed every time i shot it. you would figure the company would have better standards then sending out a loose-fitting breech and no way to repair it. made the rifle a very dangerous gun for the shooter

Pros
liked the weight, the stock the ease of loading the break barrel

Cons
loose break barrel fitting right out of the box, poorly assembled, bought a scope specifically for the air gun do to its kick. scope moved every time it was shot even though it was tight

Pros
Beautiful gun, powerful, well made.

Cons
barrel is too short at 10.5". That's enough to increase velocity but not add too much drag. Get rid of the QE useless moderator and just thread the barrel, so we can choose our own, if we want to.

Pros
Bought this gun in 2021, and love it ever since. Put a Sumo suppressor on it and you only hear the spring and the pellet hitting the target. This rifle deserves a good scope, i put a median priced Hawke scope. What a powerful and accurate rifle.

Cons
No changes, but need to get use to the cocking

Pros
Great looks and extremely well made , shot a tin through it now .25 cal really enjoying this rifle put a very old Weatherby scope on it . I wish I had started with the Hatsan brand it makes my other choices in the past look very cheap .

Cons
I need to learn to cock it with my other arm to keep them even LOL

I heard hatsan makes a forward sling mount replacement for that sling mount. Its just a flat headed replacement screw to replace that sling loop. I think a Winchester style tube sling mount just might work.?

Pros
everything, wood. to metal finish. Power accuracy, fit & finish are excellent. no knotholes anywhere on it. metal finish looks like something off a RWS gun flawless.

Cons
placement of front sling mount not that its bad just in an awkward position while over your shoulder would like to see something like on a Benjaman npxl 725 its in the hinge area.

All expectations met and exceeded, the Hatsan Vortex 135 QE is the most incredible and awesone air rifle I've ever held, owned or shot. A 15 out of 10 all day every day!

Pros
First things first. If you're new to Airgun Depot, you're in for an incredible purchasing experience from start to finish. Browsing AD's website is a pleasure, ordering is a breeze, they 're right there with your order updates, and WOW is their order processing and shipping fast! I placed my order for the Twang and Bang Combo on Wed Aug. 2 at 10AM, and it arrived Fri Aug. 4 at 11AM. Thank you very much Airgun Depot! The Hatsan rifle and accessories arrived well packaged and in perfect condition. I opted for the .30 cal variant. This rifle is absolutely beautiful and superb in every way, and the Turkish walnut stock is something to behold. It's heavy, but I knew that going in and don't care. The Hawke Vantage IR scope is a beast, and a perfect compliment to the rifle. The UTG scope rings are nice and beefy. Very impressed with how much you get and how much you save with the T&B Combo. Honestly I couldn't be any more thrilled and happy with this rifle!

Cons
The only thing I'd change is the same thing everyone else would change, the 50lb cock to break the barrel! But it's so worth the effort!

Would Love to have this or similar in a .357 caliber.

Pros
Hits HARD and accurate, Fun to shoot. Adjust for drop and you're good to go for distance. Fires JSB and Vortex Strike pellets very well.

Cons
Include a removable barrel extension to lessen the force needed to cock this bad boy?

penetration of the 30 cal in wood

asked Richard from USA

Basing the pellet weights at 14.3, 26.24, and 50 grains respectively it seems that the kinetic energy is 43, 44.5, and 45.6 joules with the advertised muzzle velocities. This indicates the .22 is the better choice if you are not required to keep lower muzzle velocity by legal limitations. And that maximum power output would be achieved with heavy .22 caliber pellets. Is there any other legitimate reason to select the larger more expensive pellets as preferred?

asked Jim from USA

This message is for Kevin, I hope you will find it and that it comes handy. Look for Mike Ellingsworth channel in youtube and see if you can get in touch with him to find out about repairing and/or servicing to your rifle. I'm quite confident that Mike can put your gun back on the field. Good luck buddy.

Hatsan claims 40 more fps with the 130s.

Joel from USA

There is no model 135s. There is 130S . The powerplants look to be pretty much the same. The 130S has a synthetic stock. The 135 an adjustable wooden stock.

Mark from USA

Nick from USA

I'm curious if anyone can tell me. I understand that the 30cal is a beast but is the 30 really better than the 22 or 25? Is the 30 as accurate as the 22 or 25. I'm asking because I'm very interested in the 30cal but also wonder why it's on sale and not the other calibers. CURIOUS

asked Dana from USA

What kind of FPS am i looking at using a 20 grain H&N Field target trophy pellet 750 is a little slow using a 23 grain H&N Hornet in .25 cal.
