We have hiked many miles in Northern Idaho with this pack over the years! I have a 30lb collie mutt dog with and the pack is adjusts to athletic build. We bought a Medium. No rubbing, great padding, and even better space. Stays balanced on her body and is durable, even with all her off trail adventures. Enough space to hold all her food, water, and other items (including a chuck it ball). I HIGHLY recommend this pack!!

Perfect fit replacement tips, my old tips wore through. These are excellent replacements

I love the color and design of this fanny pack. But it’s sooooo small. I got it thinking it would be comparable to my Mountainsmith Drift, but it’s not quite as big as the drift.
Despite the size, it’s built well. I wish the loops on the top were a little bigger. I also wish there were more mountainsmith packs in this color scheme.
It lacks the storage capabilities that other bags have. Usually there are multiple zippered areas within the packs/bags but this one only has one zippered storage area. It makes it a little harder to organize.
I added a mountainsmith padded strap to wear it like my day and tour bags.
I love it. It’s small. It’s mighty. It’s a unique color among my other mountainsmith bags.

I used these snow baskets to upgrade the current trail baskets I have on my Mountainsmith trekking poles. These things were awesome! I took them on my recent hike in the high peaks region of the ‘Daks and they performed flawlessly in over 6 feet of snow with below freezing conditions. Very happy with them and my other Mountainsmith products.

This is the 3rd Mountainsmith fanny pack that I’ve owned in about 3 decades. I like that it is sleeker, lighter, still has enough compartments, and has a bigger clip connector.

We've been waiting for years for this system to be available again. The 3 cube tote is much more manageable when loaded than our old 4 and it's great that the old and new systems seem to be completely compatible. Quality is extremely high, as expected. Thanks!

I LOVE this pack. I'm still using the one I bought almost 40 years ago. It's a bit worn, but still so functional. I originally bought it because standard backpacks put too much strain on my shoulders. With this style you can carry a lot of weight effortlessly. It matches my center of gravity better, also. Thanks Mountainsmith! So glad you are still making this!

These cane tips fit perfectly, and were delivered promptly. I sent in a photo to get the size right. Nice job. They were easy to push on, and I am 84. Thanks.

The Mayhem 45 seems to be as solid as my Centennial 30. As an avid day hiker (2-3 times per week), I put my pack through a lot of wear and tear. The White Mountains in winter require that i strap on snowshoes and poles. The Mayhem does not have built in straps, like my 10 year old(?) Centennial 30 has, that can be purposed for securing snowshoes and poles but a set of small bungees seem to do the trick. The Mayhem's easy zip access to pack contents is a help for changing weather conditions and the larger waist belt is comfortable and has handy pockets. MountainSmith, please don't stop the serious hiking and climbing designs. My old Centennial 30 has proven your superior workmanship, materials, and design can support all my 7-10 mile trips in NH and ME. I look forward to my new Mayhem 45 stepping in and taking an even larger load. Hike safe everyone!

I was so stoked to see these were back in action. I have used my Mountainsmith cubes for years, and was wanting a few more for camping. When I saw that they had a new hauler set, I bought 2! With the handles, they are easier to handle and stash. You won't regret the purchase!

This thing rocks. I’ve used it for a couple months now, for as long as a marathon and as short as a couple mile sprint, on both trail and road, for hiking and running. I’m sold. I carry body glide, keys, a knife, small towel, phone, wallet, long sleeve shirt, and a full size handgun with very minimal bounce and excellent weight distribution. I wear it higher so the strap comes across my belly button area, which makes me subconscious about how I look, but man is it comfortable sitting higher like that! The only, very silly and understandable thing I didn’t like about it was how long the straps were. Nearly excessive for a 36” waist, but easy fix was to cut em and sew them back just like the company did! Took 5 minutes. I would recommend this for anybody who likes getting out to run trails or hikes regularly.

I've now done about 10-12 nights of camping in various locations around the country with this tent and I am impressed. See my full review on it here, including set up and tear down: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pKE79Xk358k&t=74s

Excellent running lumbar pack. I ran a 5k with the Sprint pack and forgot I was wearing it. Perfect design because the pack is positioned higher up on the belt. Runners have full range of motion with leg movement.

In order to see how to lock the pole out make sure to watch the Brands video on this on the product page. Simple

I initially purchased the model of this bag that was available in 2012. Since then it has been everywhere including sandy beaches, the wet and muddy Pacific Northwest, and the city. It is the first item I grab when it's time to get out and explore due to its comfort, even when packed to the brim. The pockets, panels, and interior design are unparalleled. Its smart-looking design is classy enough to wear it traveling and in the city. After more than a decade, the bag still looks exceptionally well. This is significant, as other manufacturer's products can look threadbare after just a few weeks, even without any of the adventures my Mountainsmith has seen. I did choose to indulge in the 2023 Day and love the coronet blue color and the zipper belt pocket for a phone. When I've had questions about my Mountainshmith products, the support team has been second to none in their professionalism, commitment, and quick responses. Well done!
