For as much as this cost, I am not impressed at all. I don't care for the swivel mount but it works I guess. The light is not very bright nor does it have a tight beam. If you want to have a switch to mount, you are going to be spending about $200 for different tail cap and switch and the battery doesnt charge so that will be even more money just to use it. I very much regret this purchase but I wanted to compare it to my rein 3. 0 & modlite, which it does not at all. I guess there is some comfort in knowing it will always work when I need it. Out of the 3 wml brands I own that cost over $300, the surefire scout mini doesn't hold a candela to cloud or mod. But I'm just a civi now so take my opinion as just that, my opinion.

Light, bright and reliable. I have a o-light, and a stream-light and this is by far the best quality. Not to mention that the mount it comes with gets it really close to the hand guard. My olight Odin is brighter, about twice the brightness, it’s reliability is spotty with the tapeswitch and is too bright for indoors (masks a red dot if you shine it at a white wall) and is heavy as a MF’er. The surefire scout mini is the perfect balance of attributes for my fighting rifle.
