600°F Spatula
Why does ThermoWorks make spatulas? If you have a Thermapen for home use, then we know you want the very best thermal tools for the kitchen. Designed by ThermoWorks the spatula's square corner fits into tight spots in a pan or in jar bottoms. Edges are smoothly tapered to a sharp point for scraping. The smooth matte surfaces compliment the contours for perfect spreading. The molded silicone handle fits the hand for a confident grip. With no seams or creases to trap food, this spatula is a breeze to keep clean. Plus, you can just throw it in your dishwasher. The weighting and length are ideal for wielding in a variety of kitchen tasks from mixing, folding, serving, spreading, scraping, stirring and flipping. Use it in a batter or at the stove. Keep it off the burner itself, but we use ours for scratch-free stirring of sautes in non-stick pans.

These simple and elegant spatulas make a great addition to any cook’s toolbox. Plus, you can get one in the same color as your Thermapen!

Ends tore
The thin ends of the spatula tore and broke off on the large and small spatulas. Disappointed that these would be so flimsy on the ends.

We really like our spatulas. They are stiff yet flexible for wiping clean bowls and coated pans. I used ours with tomato base on the give top and they didn't stain from the sauce.

Best spatulas
Mini and small sizes work great in our home kitchen stirring and mixing. Discovered a unique use: painting the edge in a corner when renewing our kitchen: the spatula's thin edge gives good control

Silicone spatula doesn't trap food. YAY.
BOY, is that "Large" spatula LARGE! :-) But it's just what I was hoping for: one piece with no joints/seams that trap food. I use it to dole out dollops of yogurt that I mix with frozen fruit, dried fruit, Grape Nuts, cereal, banana. Yogurt likes to seep into the seams of my other spatulas, but the yogurt has nowhere to hide in this spatula.

Add in the shipping and ThermoWorks products are pricey but nothing I can't live with. Especially if I'm patient until they're on sale.

Buy it!
The large spatula is well made and will stand the test of time. I initially thought its asking price might too high, but realized it was worth the cost when I received it.

Good Spatula
I really like this spatula. The differentially shaped "blade" makes it easy to scrape different shaped containers clean. Nicely flexible blade...not too stiff, not too soft. I like the "Small" size. Large was indeed, very LARGE.

Good product, but watch for frayed edges
I have 6 of these spatulas in different sizes. I will use one or more of them every day. Very useful for transferring thick batter out of a bowl and doing stretch-and-folds on sticky bread dough. However, they don't last that long. They split and fray at the edges, which makes me worry about inadvertently consuming small bits of silicone. Then I repurpose them as paint stirring sticks.

A favorite and current one is wearing out

Wife needed a long spatula for her dough starter in tall jars.

i have the mini spatula with the wooden handle and appreciate the rigidity/firmness of head, and its sharp edge. Those characteristics give it the gumption to scrape sticky doughs out of mixing bowls and proofing bins. Does this one have that sort of tensile strength, and sharp edge?

Yes, they do. The mini spatulas have a metal core that makes them strong. The edges are just as sharp as before. The main difference is that the updated spatulas can be cleaned in the dishwasher.

how wide I the head?

That's correct. The Small is about 1.9" (50 mm), the Medium is about 2.4" (60 mm), and the Large is about 2.78" (70 mm) at their widest point.

Is this spatula the same on both sides so can be used by left handed person?

Yes, it is.

Is the scraper section made of steel inside, OR is the whole thing flexible?

The spatula and the handle have a metal core and is covered by BPA-Free Stain Resistant Silicone. The very end of the of the spatula is flexible silicone.

Can you use this spatula for candy making since they are rated for high heat?

As long as they are not exposed to temperatures above 600°F, they will work well for candy making.

what are the widths of the spatula heads for all 3 sizes - small, med, & large?

Hello! The widths of the spatulas are as follows:
Small: 2"
Medium: 2.5"
Large: 3"

What are the dimensions of the Hi-Temp Silicone Spatula?

The Spatula is 12.5 inches long. The widest part of the Spatula's head is 2.375 inches across.

I want an edge that is stiff enough and sharp enough to scrape dough out of bowls. Will this satisfy?

Yes. It works well for this purpose.

I've thrown out most of my silicone utensils because they end up tasting like dish soap after a few uses, will these do the same? If not, what's different?

I have never had this problem with any of the silicone utensils I have purchased from TW. I have two sets of the minis, a set of the big ones and a set of the brushes. All clean up well and have not stained or absorbed odors or tastes from food or cleaners. This is over, for the oldest ones, a period of years.

is the head of the spatula flexible or hard and wont bend?

The Spatula has a metal core that runs through the handle and into approximately 1/3 of the head. Then, a good portion of the Spatula's head is thick enough to be sturdy, and yet still flexible. (It is not floppy.) The edges of the head are very flexible, so the Spatula is able to easily scrape out the contents of bowls. It's a very nice combination of elements which were carefully thought through during the design process.
