We, Brooke and Sean, built this treehouse from the 'trees' up over the past year. We met while in college studying architecture and this was such a fun project for us! We used salvaged materials when we could and made sure to incorporate some sustainable practices in our property. We installed a solar panel above to charge the battery inside that power the fan to the composting toilet, interior lights and your devices. The composting toilet doesn't use any water. We hope you enjoy it as much we do! Also the dog in some photos is our pup Margo who adopted in September 2020 (she loved being around while building it and now staying in it with us). We have hand built this unique, modern treehouse held in the air by four trees and two logs we hoisted up. It’s secluded and provides you a great escape into nature. Upon arrival on the 13 acre property, you walk down a forest path over two small bridges to the Treehut. Ahead is the bridge to the Treehut. Follow it up to the main entrance and take in the surrounding nature. When the wind blows you will hear the Treehut creak and feel it sway with the trees (designed to), similar to a boat. When it rains you hear the pitter patter on the metal roof. From the deck you can enjoy views out towards Braintree Mountain and below to your private shower platform and fire pit (in the warmer months). Inside you will notice operable windows with screens and very few bugs, if any. The whole space is insulated making it available year-round. We have a queen sized bed with sheets and linen duvet and pillows along the back as your lounge space. Take a seat at the table and enjoy a pourover coffee taking in the view. There is a private room with a composting toilet. We have a battery powered by solar to power the lights, fan to the toilet and allow you to charge devices. We have a tiny woodstove as well as a propane heater for your use. Please note there isn’t cell service or wifi at the Treehut, but accessible nearby. We have a propane stove top available for your use along with cookware and dishes. Continue along the path in front of the Treehut to the fire pit with two adirondack chairs and wood at the ready. If you are feeling like a bit more fresh air feel free to explore our mile of trails we’ve built on our property. These are grest by snowshow in the winter as well. Update Winter 2022 - due to freezing temperatures the running water has been turned off. We do provide about 2 gallons of water for you (drinking, cooking, etc). The water will be running again in the Spring where you will have a private outdoor shower area with biodegradable soap to use and instant hot water. Beside the shower is a sink with water to drink, wash hands and dishes. We have taken our time designing and building the Treehut, shower platform and trails by hand over the past year. We hope you enjoy the experience and space as much as we do! We have parking available for one car. From the parking spot you do need to walk down our well marked and maintained 100 yard trail to the Treehut. Along the trail you need to watch your step as it is a forest trail and includes two wood bridges we built by hand. Excellent little spot! Amenities were perfect as well. Nearby town is very cute, and not too far of a drive from the Green Mountains. Our dog had an amazing stay as well!

Sweet & cozy spot!
Brooke's tree hut was awesome! Comfortable and cozy. I loved sitting with a coffee at the table and my book in the bed. Romantic little space to be with a partner, if that's the vibe. We enjoyed making fires in the wood stove and the outdoor fire pit (split wood was available!). Actually cooked a meal on the outdoor fire and ate it with the bdishware provided in the hut. Great views. Will return
