Very Bad and Cheaply Made Unit

This has been an absolutely horrible experience. 2 deliveries came dented. I frankensteined the two bad units together into one salvageable unit. Finally got it to work, it never hit 350 burn in temp, the door warped, the smoke box was jammed inside from the heat, then it dropped from 275 to 200. I opened the hopper access door to discover that the screw that turns the auger snapped, and I didn’t cook a single item on it. For $900, they have to do a lot better than this nonsense. Sending it back. The app works very nicely though for the 20 minutes I had with it.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Camp chef is the best by far!

I use 3of these for my food truck bbq. I've used many smokers in the past. These by far are the best. Being able to monitor and change temp and smoke volume from my house is a game changer for catering jobs. No issues with any of them. Maintain them well and they will make the best bbq you have ever tasted.

Not a good start

I purchased the XXL Pro to replace a Pit Boss 5 smoker. The assembly instructions were all but useless. Step 2 is incomplete and there is no rod to attach the knob shown in the instruction. There are no explanations or clarifications (except Step 15). Many steps are trial and error. The shelve screws do not seat correctly. The door has left scratches on the frame which will probably turn to rust if not repainted. I have not had a chance to actually try the unit because of the issues in assemby. I am very impressed with the company's military discount - at this point the only good thing.

No, I do not recommend this product.
