Exactly what I was looking for!

Nice chair! Very light weight, easy to carry, comfortable, and it collapses down small enough to not take up too much space in the car. I wanted a chair for the campground. Not a chair to sit up in and eat meals, but more of a small chaise lounge for later in the evening towards dusk when there is little to do, but too soon to turn in to my sleeping bag. I wanted a chair to set up next to my tent, in which I could comfortably “kick back”, straighten my legs out, and spend a bit of time reading or studying park guidebook literature (using my battery powered book light). This chair is ideal for that!

Bought two of these chairs hoping they were the answer to an all day at the beach in Mexico. So after hauling them( not super packable) down with the intent of leaving them at the house we tried them out day one. First impression was these were going to be perfect. We were thrilled to find a comfortable low beach chair. I leaned back in the first chair and the frame bent. Super cheap thin metal so disappointing. The second chair held up better during the day and as the sunset we packed it up only to find out it didn’t stay closed anymore and would flop open while walking home. I would send both of these back but I am not hauling them home from Mexico so unfortunately they are headed to the landfill and I will not get any return from REI.

Beach, Bike chair extrordinaire

I love this Lil chair. Firm back and seat for those of us that can't sit in those bucket style camp chairs. Fit across my milk crate on the back of my bike. Perfect in every way for a day at the beach!

Broke: doesn't hold stated weight capacity

This chair is comfortable at first but now the frame bent and now the chair is useless. I am under the weight limit and yet it broke. I tried to return it to REI but had just missed the return window. What a waste of money and materials.

Great design, but quality control issues

I ordered four of these chairs because they are lightweight and have a design (low to the ground) that I like. Upon unboxing the four chairs, I discovered: 1 of them had broken strap buttons (the end of the strap that connects to the chair) 2 of them had missing end-caps (the black piece that covers the hole in the frame, visible from the photos, under the front edge of the chair seat). The pieces were in the box, but don't fit tightly and have already fallen out again. I am keeping these chairs, but am wary of the quality issues.

VERY low back chair

The back support is extremely low making this a not so comfortable chair for relaxing. If you want something to sit in for the sake of sitting, I suppose this fulfills that need but to say this chair is comfortable for any other purpose would be an overstatement. That being said, I am 6'1", maybe my back is too large for this chair. We were disappointed because the style and compact nature of the chair was quite appealing.

JUNK!

Wow--REI's products (or their suppliers) have hit a low point here. This chair is utter garbage: flimsy, cheaply constructed (one plastic end cap broke off on the initial opening of product!). Hope that it will survive my one week at the beach, but I am doubtful...stay away from this thing.

Comfortable

I was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable this was. As a 70+ codger, I didn't expect it to be either comfortable or easy to get into/out of. I was pleased to be wrong about both.
