This device also improved my smoking in my BGE because my BGE thermometer was reading 50 degrees F higher than the actual temp. Also, the cables are thin enough that I have no air/smoke leakage around the seal with the BGE.
I plan on taking this with me camping while smoking meat.
This unit will see serve monitoring my brew kettle during a batch of beer.
Eventually I will add a second unit tony tool box, possibly the blue-tooth version for more flexibility.
Awesome ThermoWorks!!!
I would rec this product
ThermaQ WiFi does not include Bluetooth. It communicates with the ThermaQ WiFi app via a Wi-Fi internet connection. If there is no available Wi-Fi connection, you can track your cook on ThermaQ WiFi's large display.
If you need a thermometer that communicates with your smart device via Bluetooth, you'll want to look at ThermaQ Blue.

The ThermaQ WiFi comes with a NIST-traceable calibration certificate at 32º and 212ºF with an accuracy of ±0.7ºF ±1% of the reading.
No, it is not compatible with Microsoft Windows. It is only available for iOS mobile devices (iPhone and iPad) and Android mobile devices. At this time, there are no plans for developing a Windows desktop app.
Yes, you can. You will install the ThermaQ app on your iOS or Android mobile phone or tablet. Then, you will connect your ThermaQ WiFi to the app via your local Wi-Fi connection. After that, you can access ThermaQ WiFi's temperature readings wherever you take your phone or tablet, as long as it is also connected to the internet.
Yes, it does save data. How it saves data is dependent upon your phone or tablet's operating system.
iOS: If the ThermaQ app is pushed to the background by the iOS operating system, the operating system automatically disconnects the ThermaQ app from Wi-Fi. If this happens, ThermaQ WiFi saves information about the cook so it is not lost. Once the Wi-Fi connection is re-established and you click on the Synchronize link, the graph will fill in.
Note: The Android operating system does not automatically disconnect the ThermaQ app from Wi-Fi if the app goes into the background, so the Synchronize function is not necessary.
The probe cable lengths are:
(113-177) Smokehouse Penetration Probe: Tip and cable range to 662ºF (350ºC).* = 78" (2 meters)
(113-442) Air Probe: Tip and cable range to 662ºF (350ºC). = 72"
Yes, you may. It will sound an alarm and alert you with a text notification that appears across the top of the screen.
To give my husband more flexibility to leave home when he's doing a long cook on his BGE.
Works with App.
I hope the product lives up to me expectation, and the reputation of ThermoWorks.
