Great pad
Incredibly comfortable and light for alpine trips. Short length is perfect when paired with bivy and the material is very puncture resistant.

The pad is not as
The pad is not as thick as I would have hoped. It provides the very basic for a lite, self-inflatable pad but it's compact and does the job.

Disappointed by Cushioning
The level of cushioning was greatly disappointing. I knew when I ordered it that less weight meant less cushioning, but the level of cushioning was much much less than I thought this pad would provide.

great sleeping pad

For the light weight and easy ability to roll/fold it up, this is hard to beat for an inflatable pad. Obviously, there are much thinker pads, but I've never liked how bulky those are. This one rolls up nice and tight, inflates quickly and easily, and provides a great sleeping platform. I'm 6'2" and have a regular length. I also have a large, and they both fit nicely in my 2 person tent with no issues. The new locking valve is an upgrade from my older one, so I'm stoked to see design improvement on the fitting.

This pad is the best...
I have used this pad and another one that was the same model and they are both the best. I like how quiet this pad is compared to others...you don't get the crinkling in your ear when your sleeping that you do with other pads. Another feature that I like is the extra durability a small layer of foam provides...when I stop at the top of a pass for a nap after a hard climb I throw my pad down where others are skepticle that theirs won't get a leak. This pad is an all around great pad....pretty simple.

Rating 3.5 - Reasonably good product with outdated valve.
Long-time owner of the original Therm-A-Rests pads. Have only used this ProLite a few times. 'Self-inflates' to only 1/2""; if you want to get it thicker then be prepare to blow it up and deal with an outdated valve that is not 'one-way' (no check valve). After a few hard breaths it will inflate to 1"" which is all I want or need for most outings. Deflates easily and is reasonably compact. Would give it a 4.5 if not for the somewhat awkward valve. I appreciate that the valve design is 'tried & true' but it's past time for Therm-A-Rest to get working on a new design/generation for it's more 'classic' line of pads.

Great lightweight, compact mattress
Used for backpacking, bikepacking and camping in the Canadian Rockies and it's lightweight, packs small and is comfortable and warm to sleep on. The self-inflation is quick and effective.

Excellent mattress
I purchased this for travel and backpacking. I am very familiar with Thermarest; as I own the Original closed-cell mattress and a Hiker model. I needed something that was compact, and this delivers. Very comfortable for it's size and weight, and quite reasonably priced.

Love it, less breaths
I love my pro lite Xs I use it instead of the the neoair. It's way less breaths to blow up and equally as comfortable. I sleep on my side and it's perfect for a warm nights sleep
