Why We Like The Tru.Comfort Doublewide Sleeping Bag
The Kelty Tru.Comfort Doublewide Sleeping Bag lets us snuggle under the stars in supreme comfort with complete control over our warmth. Underneath the top layer of the bag are two built-in blankets—one for each—for an extra layer on chilly nights. And for warmer summer nights, the top layer zips off entirely so we can sleep under only the lightly insulated blankets. The Comfort-Tuck zipper system offers even more customizable comfort by letting us unzip the bottom of the bag and stick our feet out while remaining comfortably tucked in. Kelty gave this bag an oversized shape that gives both of us a bit of personal space and even lets our pup sneak in the middle from time to time.

Best 2 person bag

my wife an I used this in ~35d and windy weather in a 3 season tent, stayed warm and was large enough to roll over and not bother each others sleep. Paired with the Kush Air Bed (KELO0A7-CASROC-QUE) and had one of the best nights sleep. I highly recommend this for a 2 person bag. It is large when packed away, but you can sleep together with your partner.

My partner and I loved this sleeping bag. It rained one of the nights that we went camping and it kept us dry and super warm, even when our tent got a little wet. My favorite thing about it was the head because I liked being under it to keep the heat in. I also enjoyed the separate blanket that’s underneath because I get hot easily while my partner doesn’t, so it was nice to have that separation. However, I agree that there could’ve been an attachment for the pieces to come together for those who prefer to have that choice. But we just improvised and put a warm blanket inside. Overall I’d rate it a solid 9/10.

As a two-person sleeping bag under $200, I recommend it. That said, they missed a few easy improvements that would have made it so much better. Here is some free advice, Kelty. The internal blankets are nice, but they fall off easily. Why not include a way to connect them together on colder nights? It would also be nice to have a way to sinch up the bag around the shoulders with some form of draw-string. Currently, the only way to keep cold drafts from coming in is to stuff jackets in the large spaces around the shoulder area. I will be adding my own velcro to attach the blankets but even with this improvement, this bag has no business existing below 35 degrees F for most people.

Ordered this from Backcountry and used it over the past week in Kentucky where it was in the low 40s at night and was really impressed. It was warm - almost too warm at those temperatures. It's my first time using a double sleeping bag and I love that there was a bit of room to move around even with my partner in, and it's not as constricted as a regular mum bag. I thought the internal flaps would be awkward but they worked really well, I wrapped them around myself and they stayed in place all night. Highly recommend this sleeping bag.

I've been living in my truck camper with my 3 dogs for the last 20 months. We're on our second winter in Utah and this thing has been wonderful. All four of us snuggle in the bag every winter night. Have also been backpacking with it, which isn't ideal as it's pretty bulky, but we made it work by strapping to the outside of our 55l pack and it worked well keeping us all snug as a bug in the mountains, mid summer, mind you. Definitely a great car camping with your significant other or pets kind of bag.

Such a great sleeping bag
This was a perfect addition to our camping gear. We took it car camping in the Tetons and it was spacious and so warm! Temps got down to the 20s at night and we were very comfortable(until I had to get out lol). The double blankets can be a little awkward to get situated, but in the morning I found myself completely wrapped up in it and cozy. I am 5'10 and plus size, my partner is 'average' size. We had plenty of room!

Ski area is 1.5 hours away. Round trips are doable but expensive for muti-day pow shots. Motels are either ancient or expensive. Solution? Take my dwelling with me. A trailer would be nice - if it was four-season, off-road/winter-road capable. Again, expensive. Truck-tent was my solution. Need a decent 3-season bag (we can always add layers). Solution? Kelty?s Tru.Comfort Doublewide. I love it - wife loves it. Problem solved!
