How do I care for my Ascenders?: Machine wash cold 86° F (30° C) with like colors. Do not bleach. Dry medium heat. Low iron, if needed.
How do I ensure my Ascenders always look their best?: Remember to remove immediately from washer and dryer. If needed, warm iron to remove creasing. In case a stain happens, we suggest using a mild dish soap to clean it.
Can my Ascenders be altered?: Yes, they can be altered as long as your tailor is comfortable working with the material.

Greatest travel pants ever!
Several years ago I bought a pair of the original "Ascender" series pants for a trip to Portugal. I loved them. Light weight. Perfect fit. Comfortable. Beautifully constructed. Several "secure" pockets with either zippers or velcro to discourage pickpocketing. Best of all, easily washable in a sink, hang dry quickly and look like they just came back pressed from the cleaners. The new Chino version is, if anything better. All the previous good features plus a slightly more "dressy" cut, less like jeans. I own three pairs of the Ascender series now. They're the only pants I carry for international travel!

Great but one criticism
I have several pairs of Bluffworks chinos going back to the previous fabric and the old, blue interior trim. The reduction and skimping on belt loops between those and the current model is unfortunate.

Love Ascender Pants
Love Ascender pants, have 2 other pair. Got these in 32 w , others are in 33. Sort of wish had gotten 33 again as these are a hair snug in hips but will be ok. Only thing I wish was different on all their pants was a zipper on the right rear pocket !

Fit Guidance

Regular:

Ease throughout the hips and thigh. Sits just below the natural waist with a straight leg.

Tailored:

Similar ease throughout the hips and thigh as our Regular Fit. Sits just below the natural waist and has a straight leg with slight tapering below the knee.

Slim:

Our most fitted pant through the hips, thigh, and leg. Sits at the hip with a slightly shorter rise and has a narrow, tapered leg throughout.

How to Measure

Neck: Wrap the measuring tape loosely around the base of your neck, keeping one finger between your neck and the tape.

Arm (Spine to Wrist): The arm measurement used for sleeve length is measured from the center back of the neck to wrist. Hold your arm out to the side with your elbow slightly bent, and measure from the back center of your neck (your spine) down the outside of your arm to your wrist bone.

Chest: Wrap the measuring tape around the circumference of your chest at the widest point, approximately 1"/2.5 cm below your armpit. Inhale, exhale, and then place a finger behind the tape. Keep the tape level and snug, but not too tight.

Natural Waist: Bend to the side to find the natural crease of your waist. Wrap the measuring tape at this point, keeping the tape slightly loose.

Waist: Wrap the measuring tape around your waistline (where you want your pants to sit), keeping the tape slightly loose. Bluffworks pants are offered in 1"/2.5 cm increments, so we suggest sizing up if you're between sizes.

Hips: Keep feet together, and wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your seat (approximately 8"/20.3 cm below your natural waist), keeping the tape slightly loose.

Thigh: Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of the thigh (approximately 1"/2.5 cm below the crotch), keeping the tape slightly loose.
