not as warm as I'd hoped, but good waterproofing

I have to snowmobile in and out of my house (10 min each way) and I hoped these would be good gloves in all kinds of weather. I'd say the weatherproof-ness is as good as advertised, but they are not as warm as I'd hoped. My fingers get chronically cold when I'm wearing these, even in moderate temps. (But at least they're not wet.) For sizing, medium fits well -- in Hestra gloves I'm a size 8. I also got a pair of the Cloud Bank Gore-Tex, and I think those are a bit warmer, but they don't have the nice big cuff that these have. Would I recommend them? Probably, but not for the coldest days.

Very cold gloves!

I feel like I basically wasted my money on these gloves. Within minutes of being in 20 degree dry weather my hands we’re miserable. I would never recommend the as they are described as “high exposure” gloves.

Very small cut !!

I did not get to use them. I ordered a large, while my measurements would have been for a Medium. I didn’t fit! They are super small cut ! And they don’t male an XL in womens. Bummed.

Seam on the palm

There is a seam on the palm that cuts in the middle of your hand. It’s just kinda weird fit. But overall they’re good gloves.

Excellent ski glove

I sm a fulltime mountain guide in Colorado and I either backcountry ski or ice clim every day during the winter. This glove is rad! Super comfortable and warm without being bulky. The dexterity is incredible which is very important when holding ice tools, ski poles or ripping skins. As it is Goretex it is completely waterproof yet the glove doesn’t seem to get sweaty inside. The inner fleece lined glove (not removable) is super soft. Personally I prefer this style over gloves with a removable liner as the latter seems too bulky. The touch screen feature on the index fingers work excellent, although I cannot attest yet if the feature will last after lots of abuse. The gloves have removable lanyards which is nice as I don’t like those when climbing but I sometimes use them in the backcountry. The fit is true to size but it is a trim fit. According to the size chart I am a size medium and the gloves literally fit “like a glove”. If you rather have a bit of wiggle room or if you want to wear an additional thin liner inside for extra warmth then size up.

Bomber, Functional, Warm

As a firefighter, full-time backcountry skier, and aspiring avalanche professional, I've travelled a lot to chase snow. This usually entails living out of a truck, a hut, or off of a couch (firefighting is awesome but you're in it for the love of the game), so I can't have a lot of stuff. I need one pair of gloves to do it all. The High Exposure Glove is warm-up, comfortable and made to hold up. The Gore-Grip/leather combo means excellent grip, the touch screen tip is handy to snap that quick photo, and the cuff length is excellent, but my favorite feature is by far the wrist leashes - they allow you to throw your gloves on and off without having to think about it, super handy if you are say, digging a snow pit and you like to write with a bare hand. They are also comfortable and don't get in the way. These babies will accompany me on what is hopefully another successful season of touring in the wet snow that is the Sierra Crest. A burly, well constructed and weather-proof glove is probably the most important moral booster in the backcountry, and I absolutely love this construction and feature set.

High-Quality, Warm Gloves for Professional Use

I’m a Ski Patrol Director and Outdoor Emergency Care Instructor. I need my gear to withstand weather and heavy use while patrolling backcountry trailheads and spending full days in the elements when teaching Outdoor Emergency Care and Avalanche classes. The High-Exposure Glove is a soft, warm-glove that keeps my hands warm while still giving me the dexterity to teach and train effectively. The reinforced palms and fingers provide added durability when ripping skins and digging pits, the touch screen compatible thumb and index finger let me use my phone to check conditions or take pictures without having to take them off, and the fleece backing on the thumbs is perfect for whipping my nose or sweat on the go.
