Beautiful views
Absolutely beautiful views from all the camp sites.. They have a pool, other games, fenced in dog area. Clean utilities. A short/easy little hike to the lower st mary lake from the campground. friendly staff. A gas station about 2 mins away if needed. A short drive to the st mary entrance to Glacier Park. Which was absolutely beautiful.
Level with great amenities
easy to find. nice views. nice showers with hot water. pull throughs were level and nice and long. Came with picnic table and fire pit. Guests were quite and had great camp ground etiquette. Had a nice big dog run. the Store was great with food, souvenirs, and ice cream!
It is expensive but was 6 mins from east gate glacier. Had great Glacier views. Lots of dumpsters around for easy access. close to gas and shops. nice big hot tub and pool.
We enjoyed ourselves here.
You come for the views. You stay because of that.
Great views. Minutes from the park. Wifi good at the main building. There are a lot of sites and amenities like most KOA'S. Would definitely stay if in the area again.
Good Location and Ammenities
We chose this place for the good location to explore the park. The laundry and bathrooms were clean and updated. The on-site store was well stocked. Good coffee served. Wifi was very good. Overall, the campground seems well managed.
Great location for going to sun road
I could only get WiFi at the office, so don’t go thinking to work remote. But, view is spectacular. Bathrooms are clean. The staff is just - incredible. 2 minutes from entrance of going to the sun road. Would definitely not hesitate to stay again. Tent sites are nice - little to no shade just FYI.
Great Location
This is a very nice KOA with all kinds of amenities. Clean and well kept.
Last Minute Trip Planning
We decided to take a trip to Glacier National Park with only a few weeks to plan. First off, don’t recommend. But as far for places to go, this KOA is great!! We are in our tent and they have private tent spots that are in trees and away from the main KOA stuff! Pets are allowed and wasn’t an issue to have our 90 lb Rottweiler with us. The KOA itself is very near the park entrance and a lake and has a river running right by it!
Great campground to experience Glacier National Park
This campground was breathtaking. At the base of the mountains. In my opinion, of the campgrounds we drove by, this one was by far the best for unobstructed views of the mountains. It was so beautiful and peaceful at night as well.
The hosts/store clerks were pleasant and helpful. To my knowledge all rules were upheld.
Overall, if I were to visit the area again, this campsite would be on the top of my list.
Be sure to check out the Many Glacier trailhead for some cool hikes if you cannot get a GTTS tickets. I would suggest Swiftcurrent pass and Cracker lake hikes. We were able to see some Grizzly bear from the comfort of our car on the way to the trailhead.

Awesome campground right by Glacier NP
Loved this campground. Great amenities. Loved the pool/hot tub. Nice big site with electric/water. Tent camped and the bathrooms clean and close by. Amazing store and they even delivered pizza right to our site. Pancake breakfast was wonderful.

Did the job
Having stayed at the West glacier KOA the night before, this was a bit of a let down. We were in a tent site. It was very unclear where we were supposed to park. There was a pool that was clean and a picnic shelter that served pancakes in the morning.
Very nice but crowded like any KOA
Nice bathrooms, hot showers, hot tub was good and hot, the pool was frigid. Food and ice cream at the campground was tasty. Sites are a decent size — we were able to get our REI Kingdom 8 with garage on our site, park our car, and still had room to move around just fine. WiFi is mostly unusable from any of the campsites.
Beautiful grounds
I loved the trails around the campground. There were several trails that lead to the river and lake. Our site was very exposed but close to bathrooms. The shower was very nice but the bathroom was fairly small. Nice staff and camp store with a coffee shop inside. Very close to the East Glacier entrance.
Great campground in Glacier National Park
We stayed here while on a hiking trip to Glacier National Park. We stayed in one of the small cabins, but they had RV and tent sites as well. They had a small shop with snacks/food, and souvenirs. We didn't use the pool but it looked nice. The cabin had a nice porch with swings. While small on the inside, it had everything we needed. It was good proximity to hiking within the park.

Beautiful views and well kept campground
Pros
The staff are friendly. The pizza is delicious. The cabins are clean. The pool is fun and the hottub is unique. The view from the campground is amazing. It's so close to the national park.
Cons
The bathrooms were cleaned frequently, but they still had a weird smell. The bathroom at the pool had a strong poo smell all the time. It was so windy that having a fire was challenging. Some of the sites don't offer much privacy, but it's a KOA so that's expected.
It set a new standard for my KOA expectations.
Lots of money- no real peace
KOAs can be counted on for having many sites available at about the highest cost ever. East Glacier/ st Mary’s is no exception.
But, you can make a reservation and be assured of having a site in this remote area of Montana.
The campground has a pool and a puzza parlor that delivers and a store and laundry, and lots of noise due to the hundreds of sites.
Amazing
This KOA has been the best one I've stayed at yet! Beautiful spots by a little creek with lots of wildlife (moose, fox, etc.) The groundskeeper is awesome with helping out if there are any problems with outsiders using the pool and the restrooms so very nice! People at the front desk were helpful and very informative.
Holiday KOA
Very nice with level campsites and nice swimming pool with hot tube. Personal are nice and helpful. Would definitely stay here again
Great views, family-friendly
We stayed at campsite G17. It was right near the entrance, so there was a lot of traffic. In the morning a fox came right up to our site. The pool was great with a hot tub and splash pad. The views were gorgeous and our kids loved the playground. We even ordered pizza and had it delivered from the main office. A little pricey, but great place!
Wish we had more days
We stayed in a camping cabin on our road trip and wished we had more than our 4 nights. The views are incredible, the pool and splash area were great, the store is huge with tons of gear and basics and we felt we were on the best side of the park. It's even close enough to pop into Canada and go to Waterton for a day.
KOA friendly, lots of amenities
Typical KOA, with tightly packed RVs. Nice amenities pool, hot tub, restaurant, playground.
Family friendly, convenient, beautiful views
This campground is located just outside the eastern entrance of Glacier National Park and the Going-To-The-Sun Road. They have primitive camping, basic cabins, deluxe cabins (with a bathroom), and RV hookup spaces so there is something here for everyone. It sits in a valley and has some beautiful views of the surrounding mountains, especially at sunrise and sunset. The KOA has a nice store with food, drinks, camping supplies, and souvenirs. There is also an outdoor pool on site which makes it easy to relax after a long day of hiking. It is towards the northern end of the eastern side of the park so if Going-To-The-Sun Road is closed, it can make for a long drive to the western side of the park, which is what happened to us. I would still highly recommend this site.
