Beast of a round on big game!
I have a Tikka T3X Roughtech in .300 win mag. I've been shooting a competitors' offerings for a while and after having two Tikka rifles, I knew that this .300WM Roughtech could do better. I bought some of these mostly because of the 200gr weight and they were available in my local gun shop, with the intent on using for big game. When I sighted in, I was pleasantly surprised. Averaged 3/4" 3-shot groups at 100 yards, with the best two easily beating 1/2 moa and worst being just under an inch after the rifle had heated up a good amount. I had the opportunity to take a black bear at 305 yards with a 27-degree downward angle using this load and it went down clean and VERY quickly. Has easily become my new favorite hunting round. Hope to use it on mule deer and elk this coming season as well.
