WATER RESISTANCE

We use waterproof Xpac and water resistant zippers but we do not seal our seams. Therefore the pack is water resistant, NOT water proof.Customers have said they hold up well under a light to medium rain. We recommend removing water sensitive items from the SwitchPack if you're in a steady, heavy rain or have a Ziplock handy inside of the pack.

SWITCHPACK VS. FANNY PACK

The SwitchPack is a versatile, multi-functional pack with removable straps, allowing it to be worn as a fanny pack, shoulder bag, chest pack, etc. It also features extra external pockets for easy access to your phone and small items such as a wallet, lip balm, or headphones. However, it weighs more than our Fanny Pack due to its added versatility and external storage.

The Fanny Pack is a lightweight, no-frills option with the same main compartment and internal organization but fixed straps and no additional external pockets. It’s ideal for the weight conscious hiker.

Choose the SwitchPack if you need adaptability, extra storage, and adjustable straps and don't mind a slightly heavier pack.

Choose the Fanny Pack if you want a lightweight, streamlined design for basic use with less weight.

FEATURES

The SwitchPack features a front zipper pocket for you to store quick-grab items like a wallet, chapstick, phone, or snack.

We install two zipper toggles on the SwitchPack to allow you to open the lid from either direction.

The 4 way stretch Lycra Mesh pocket on the inner panel is perfect for organizing your gear in your SwitchPack! Use it to keep your smaller loose items like chapstick, keys and headphones!

We use Water Resistant #5 and #3 Uretek Zippers from YKK for the closure of the SwitchPack. This zippers are durable and keep your gear safe from a light rain. We recommend stowing your SwitchPack in your backpack if you're hiking in persistent or heavy rain.

We use 3D Spacer Mesh for the back pocket and inner strap wings to optimize comfort and breathability of the SwitchPack. Use the back pocket to store your phone, snack wrappers, or quickly grab your trail map!

We make these SwitchPacks with durable and waterproof VX21 X-Pac. This means that the SwitchPack will be able to keep the gear inside dry in a light to moderate rain.

We do not seal our seams though, so submerging the pack or hiking in a heavy rain is not recommended.

We include 1/2" elastic loops on the webbing straps to be used to keep the slack webbing from hanging down from the buckle.

Our buckled straps are lightweight, durable, and removable to ensure a secure fit, light carry and long life to your SwitchPack.

The buckles can be removed and readjusted on either side or by using the 1" light webbing loops on the back panel by sliding the S-Clips through any of our five attachment locations, this lets you adjust how the SwitchPack is worn and attached to your gear.

Our straps are around 55" in total and can be used as a pack over-top of cold weather gear or can be extended to use as a cross body bag as well!
