Kahtoola gaiters are well designed, built for the trail, and easy to use. Even labeled R & L so no question which side each one goes on. I've used them on a pair of 8 mile trail hikes, as well as a 21 mile trail hike. They kept out sand and pebbles, and the mid design is perfect for this. Best part is you don't even notice that they're on your boots! So comfortable. Works equally well on hiking shoes and boots. Definitely recommend!!

These gaiters work great once you figure out that the zipper should be on the inside. I hike every morning and I put my shoes and gaiters on in the car. I cross my legs so that I have room to put my shoes on. If I reverse the left and right gaiter, then I can reach the zipper. Otherwise it’s impossible for me. Once they’re on, they’re great.

Note this is a first impression. I have a 9 4E hiking and my wife is a woman’s 11. Based on other reviews we ordered the S/M it fits snug around the boot but still has room to accommodate hiking pants without being tight. The drawstring adjustment at top ensures secure fit. I like the replaceable Taurean of the bottom strap even though it looks like they will last many miles before needing replacement. We did not buy them expecting them to be waterproof though they would deflect rain. We have a trip out west this year where sand and scree could make a walk miserable. These are very light and great price

I have 3 pairs of Kahtoola gaiters 2 for running and 1 pair for general hiking. I have tried many gaiters over the last 25 years and Kahtoola is easily my favorite.Functional,durable design works well for me. I have a size 13 narrow foot and use the L/Xl size. Wider feet may be tighter.
