Quality Cribbage board that is also lightweight.
I purchased this for camping and shorter backpacking trips. I like that it has scoring for three players, lightweight board and pegs and the drawstring bag is nice and can carry an UNO or Skip-Bo deck as well as the cribbage board. The board has a clip closure that is positive and easy to open. The pegs, a full-sized deck of cards and the instructions fit inside the board when folded up. Measured weight as it arrived (minus the hang-tag for display in the store) is 7.61 oz. Board measures 6-3/4” x 3-3/16” x 1-5/16” folded and 14-1/4” x 3-3/16” x 3/4” when opened. The board sits on the hinges and a couple of tabs near each end when open. This provides a flat board when laying on a flat surface. I noticed a slight rise in the middle where the hinge is located. It can be pressed down but rises slightly (about 1/16”) and in no way will impede the use or enjoyment. Silk-screened tracks, score, skunk line, finish and 6-7 game scoring holes are crisp, clean and easy to read. No burrs in the holes and the pegs are easy to move. The pegs can be pressed down into the holes and fit tight enough to require a slight twist and a finger on the board to prevent lifting the board. I grab pegs by placing a couple fingers on the board and the pegs between my thumb and forefinger so this feels natural to me. If you are one who plucks pegs straight up without holding the board will find yourself lifting the board and may disrupt the scoring. It’s not your heavy wooden desktop board! Very happy with the product and included parts.
Best purchase ever!
I have had this cribbage set for about 3 years and I bring it EVERYWHERE. Car camping, backpacking, cabin trips - basically anywhere where there will be a flat playing surface. The cards have gotten a bit dirty but the board and pegs themselves have held up remarkably well.
Great travel board
Perfect travel crib board. Comes with a carrying case, super light and portable, fits easily in a fanny pack or bike bag. Three player, full 120 point board. Great quality, nice cards included and packs well. Highly recommend bringing on a bike ride pizza crawl for plenty of entertainment! Debating it? Go for it, you'll find yourself reaching for it again and again.
Reliable
The folding board that doubles as a folding carrying case is a good size for easy transport. Took one star off for the cards not being waterproof, which should be a feature of something that's intended to be used on camping trips and the like.
Perfect for travel
For Cribbage lovers, campers, and travelers this product is ideal. It's very light weight, but also very durable. In the past travel cribbage boards have been small and difficult to use, but this one is full size with large pegs. My wife and I don't camp very much any more but we still travel a lot which means trying to keep the weight of our luggage down. the price is also very reasonable so we gave them out as Christmas gifts to our friends and family that also love to play cribbage.
Gaming around the Campfire
We bought this to use for all our travel from airplanes to campfires. Cribbage nuts I guess. It is light weight, takes up little space in my pack but provides a good way to relax.
Sweet little set up
The cards and pegs fit nicely in the board and the has its own little pack for easy storage. Light weight and doesn't take up much space. A good time for any situation.
Awesome buy
This crib board is, in a few words, a total bop. It's lightweight enough and small enough to take in lieu of a book on a backpacking trip -- and makes for a fun, social activity at camp. Beyond backcountry use, I love keeping it in the bag I take everywhere for immediate entertainment -- playing it in parks, at coffee shops, anywhere. Another reviewer mentioned the cards. They are slightly smaller and lower quality than a standard deck. After just a few plays, they were falling apart (the edges rip very easily). However, I have not had an issue fitting a standard deck inside the board -- you just have to make sure it's not lined up on the side closer to the hinge so that the board can close. If you are a fan of portable fun, this is the buy for you.
Perfect for travel
Love to travel with my cribbage board, and this one if both portable and easy to use. Sturdy enough to last a lifetime. Don't like having to worry about losing pegs, but then I don't know of a better way of safekeeping. It would be cool if just it came supplied with extra pegs. Probably a bit bulky for backpacking, but perfect for car camping--or anytime.
