Why We Like The Loon 120 Recreational Kayak
If the thought of going anywhere without your phone makes you cringe, then look no further than the Old Town Loon 120 2021 Recreational Kayak when you venture out for a little fresh air on the lake. The Loon 120 lets you charge your devices thanks to its removable work deck, which features a USB charge port, cell phone and gear trays, side mount tracks, a cup holder, and locking dry storage compartment.
Built for any paddler, the Loon also has a newly redesigned hull with a sharp keel line for effortless glide and straight-forward tracking. Additionally, the Loon 120 Kayak features Old Town's Active Comfort System 2.0 seat. This impressive, slightly overwrought title translates to perforated foam and multiple adjustment options for cushion, breathability, and back support that can be tailored for a specific fit. Best Kayak ever
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought a 12 ft lemongrass Loon in 2020 from Rutabaga Sports in Madison WI. I teetered b/t the Wilderness Pungo and the Loon and so glad I chose the loon. The color was not my favorite, but after 4 years I am glad. It is very visible in the water and when on rivers that have bigger boats it is very safe. The kayak seat is very comfortable. The boat glides through the water like butter. I used to have to paddle three to one with others. I tipped last year on the Brule and my kayak was filled with water and never sunk. I got caught up on the side in a fast current. I do not recommend you tip, that is the first time in 5.5 years I have ever fell in. It is a little heavier than other brands but floating is a big plus for me. I did push it up the back of my Forester for the first year, but now have a kayak trailer and it isn't a big deal to get it on the trailer. I recommend Old Towns to everyone.

Love the Loon!
Bought a couple of “big box” kayaks for our lake house a few years ago. Late last summer I started kayaking regularly and kept it up through the winter, but it was time for an upgrade. Recent purchase of a Loon 120 and my kayaking experience has improved. Much better boat and love the performance, tracking, stability and all other aspects. Wish I had bought sooner….

She Loves It!
Brought this for my wife as a birthday gift. It actually arrived on her birthday, which was a great extra benefit (shipment delays due to Covid). She had been using a 9'6" big box store, generic kayak and enjoyed it. She took her maiden voyage on her Loon 120 and absolutely loved it! Initially was going to get her the Loon 106, but fortunately when I called I spoke to a staff member who explained the the 120 is better suited for a smaller stature person such as my wife. Tracks like a dream and does not require constant correction! If you are considering the 120, go for it, you will not be disappointed!

Awesome
After two different big box boats I invested in a loon which makes a day on the water so much more enjoyable . Well designed and well built.
